Causeway GAA is a voluntary community sports organisation affiliated to Kerry GAA and the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). Our role is to promote Gaelic games, community involvement, and youth development in the parish of Causeway, Co. Kerry.

  • Membership Information: name, address, contact details, date of birth, emergency contact, and payment details.

  • Team Participation: playing history, attendance, performance statistics, disciplinary records.

  • Volunteers/Officials: Garda vetting details, qualifications, contact details.

  • Website & Digital Platforms: IP address, device/browser type, and basic analytics through ClubZap or other online services.

  • Photographs/Videos: images or videos taken at matches, events, or training sessions (with consent).


3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information for purposes including:

  • Managing club membership and registrations.

  • Organizing matches, training, and events.

  • Processing payments (membership fees, lotto, fundraising, etc.).

  • Meeting child protection, safeguarding, and Garda vetting obligations.

  • Communicating with members via email, phone, SMS, and apps such as ClubZap.

  • Promoting club activities (programmes, newsletters, website, social media).


4. Sharing Your Information

Your personal data may be shared with:

  • Kerry GAA, Munster GAA, and the GAA nationally for registration and competition purposes.

  • Service providers (e.g. ClubZap, payment processors) where necessary to provide club services.

  • Legal or statutory bodies when required by law.

We do not sell your data to third parties.


5. How Long We Keep Data

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil our purposes or meet legal obligations (e.g. membership records kept for the current and past year, financial records kept in line with Revenue requirements).

For underage players, parental/guardian consent is required for membership, communications, and use of photographs. Causeway GAA follows the GAA Code of Behaviour (Underage) and all safeguarding rules.
