Our U15s took on Ballyduff this afternoon in the semi final of the division 1 Feile in Tralee. After a titanic 30 minute battle the game finished Ballyduff 0-7 Causeway 0-4, a scoreline which did not reflect our boys performance. We played against the wind in the first half and went in at half time 4pts to 3pts down with 2 points from Cian Whyte and Evan Diggin and a free from Kyle O Callaghan. With the wind at our backs in the second half we had chance after chance but could not convert in front of goals due to a resolute and tough Ballyduff defence. Ballyduff converted 3 frees to our 1 for the game to finish 0-7 to 0-4.
Well done to the boys and management on a great performance. Two years ago this team was playing division 3, last year division 2 and now contesting at division 1 level. Due to their fantastic commitment and attitude they are closing the gap so their day will come very soon. U14 and U16s will be kicking off soon so keep up the hard work for the rest of the season boys 🇶🇦
